FS 34079 Scheme
In 1997 the RNZAF once again began to experiment with the Skyhawk camouflage scheme, with one of the main drivers being the cost saving that could be derived from moving away from the current three colours scheme to a single colour. The first scheme to emerge from the paint shops was an overall dark green scheme with light green markings applied to NZ 6201 (see photo above).
Operationally the scheme proved too effective and was altered to return to the black markings of the previous maritime scheme while retaining the one colour paint scheme.
